Scientists discover new colour and Ive already liberated it, Semplerecently wroteon his Instagram.
The most expensive paint on the planet is super affordable for artists.
Scientists may not be interested in the artistic uses for their new colour discovery but I am.
Theres just one problem: scientists say that the color cant be reproduced outside of their experiment.
Any colour that you might reproduce would just pale by comparison.
Gizmodo reached out to Semple for comment.
Ive always thought that colour should be available to everybody, Semple told the outlet.
He added: I think theyve triggered an experience in people that theyre approximating to a colour.
What Ive done is tried to make an actual colour of that experience.
This isnt the first time Semple has released a color approximating another more scientifically fantastical one.
Semple responded by creating an extraordinarily matte black paint that was available to purchase by anyonebutKapoor.
Semple is currently selling YOLO for 10,000, or 29.99 if the buyer claims to be an artist.
