The$3,500 Apple Vision Prohasnt yet really found its footing.
Part of that is certainly due to that astronomical price.
Apparently, it might involve eliminating everything that makes the Vision Pro special.
Apple’s initial public demos for the Apple Vision Pro were booked weeks in advance back in February. Now, the company is trying to figure out how to make people excited about a cheaper version.Photo: Kyle Barr / Gizmodo
According toBloombergs Mark Gurman, that gadget could cost between $1,500 and $2,000.
Gurmans latest detailed a few ways Apple might attempt to reduce overall user-end costs.
That could include eliminating the pointless EyeSight exterior display that re-creates users eyes.
The current build of this cheaper Vision headset is dubbed N107.
The Cupertino company could also pare back the exterior passthrough capabilities and limit the FOV.
The other possibilities are even worse.
A new version of the Vision Pro is now slated for 2026.
That project is codenamed N109, according to Gurman.
Apple is not yet ready to leave its altered reality ambitions behind.
