You should have an Apple Watch if you use an iPhone.
It is the defacto accessory, perfectly tailored to the iPhone users needs and, presumably, wants.
And yet, it fulfills such a need.

The Double Tap gesture is an actual solution to a common problem.
Unfortunately, I didnt get much time to double-tap myself before penning this review.
The feature only went live with the public beta ofwatchOS 10.1.

Apple’s latest smartwatch
Price?
Frankly, not much has changed.
But there is no point in fixing what isnt broken.

Square-ish is the signature motif of the Apple Watch.
The only new addition this time is a soft pink-hued chassis, which pairs nicely with a pink watchband.
Its also smaller than thePixel Watch.
Indeed, this is not an obtrusive wearable, especially for smaller wrists.
There is a 45mm size, which I tried on after Apples Wanderlust event in September.
It was too big for me, but it is an option.
Our review unit came with the pinkSport Loop Bandto match.
I generally dont do well with this pop in of material for sensory and logistical reasons.
Mostly, Im afraid of going near water with the bands cloth-like nylon.
I prefer the regular siliconeSport Band, so choose your path wisely when filling your cart.
And definitelydont choose the FineWovenif youre worried about how easily scratched it gets.
It ensures you dont blast your eyes out (or kill the battery).
Siri is now available offline.
Inside, the Apple Watch Series 9 runs on an S9 SiP with a four-core neural engine.
The company designed the processor to handle many of the Series 9s new features, like on-rig Siri requests.
For the most part, I havent noticed a significant difference in speed compared to the Series 8.
I dont ask Siri very complicated questions, anyway.
I still prefer Google Assistant for the super complicated stuff.
Androids watch software still requires aninternet connectionto get help from Google.
Double-tap gestures are great but not necessarily a reason to upgrade.
The watch is programmed to know if youve raised your wrist before it enables access to this feature.
Its generally fluid: raise your wrist, then tap your thumb and index finger together.
A little icon at the top of the Apple Watch screen lets you know its working.
Double tap is straightforward, though it relies on actively raising that wrist to initiate the feature.
Its best to exaggerate taps; thats when I had the most success.
The watch will then measure how wrap up the phone is, down to the foot.
The Apple Watch Series 9 battery is good enough.
Its on par with what I get on Samsungs Galaxy Watch 6s 300mAh battery with about the same use.
After about a day and a half of use, the Series 9 still had 30% battery.
But this is standard smartwatch behavior.
The Snoopy watch face is just so dang cute.
But really, I just wanted to show you a picture of the Snoopy watch face.
They will do activities corresponding to what youre up to.
Snoopy andwatchOS 10are available to more Apple Watches than just the Series 9.
You dont have to buy this machine to get into the cuteness, plus many other new watch faces.
So, should you buy the Apple Watch Series 9?
But I hope to follow up later after Ive had a chance to review GooglesPixel Watch 2.
Both companies are coming for their users with a wealth of new health-tracking featureshealth is wealth, after all!
But in my experience, this assessment works best with accumulated health data.
I hope to follow up soon.
