In that case, relax.
Emulating is quite an easy process, though perhaps more so on some apps than others.

Which Emulators Are Currently Available on iOS?
The reason why iOS emulation has proved so difficult is mostly due to Apples walled garden.
It severely restricts third-party app stores, anddownloading unauthorized programsfrom websites can prove a pretty big hassle.

Despite Apples tacit approval, theres been a lot of turnover on the iOS emulation front.
That app is best described as a launching platform for multiple emulators.
In fact, the emulator has its ownvideo tutorialavailable linked in-app.

The few apps that are available launch the gamut between difficult to use and almost too easy.
Lets start with the easy one.
Delta does support save states and a whole swathe of different controllers.

For that, youll have to look elsewhere.
First, download the ROM to your iPhone.
The easiest way to access it is to stick it in Files.

Theres atutorialdirectly within the App under the button How can I get games?
You should be able to load the game from the main menu.
You may have to hit the Refresh icon at the top to see it appear.

RetroArch
If youre looking for something more broad, youd definitely want to check outRetroArch.
The app is currently available for iOS and tvOS, though the creatorssaidthey were working on a macOS version.
However, theres currently no ETA for when well get access.
Despite its rather clunky UI, its actually pretty simple to operate.

Dolphins developers claimed Apple restricts JIT on third-party apps.
What is the Legality of Emulation?
Of course, the average downloader wouldnt know the difference.
It gets especially complicated for those emulating much more recent consoles.
Thats not to say Apple is incentivizing anybody to download ROMs.
Where Can I Get Different Game ROMs?
Instead, your best bet is to check what the most notorious ROM collection communities have to say.
TheInternet Archiveis a great repository for old ROMs as well.
He has a few suggestions of where to find quality translations as well as English-language ROMs.
But dont think that these emulators are only good for finding classic titles.
Theres a large and ever-growing library of excellent homebrew titles that work extremely well on emulators.
Its truly a wild west out there for game emulation.
