Apple recently realized it could make its watch even smarter by adding sensors to the band and the dial.
The patent looks at a stretchable fabric item with an opening to fit around a certain body part.
The more interesting thing here is that the band doesnt necessarily point toward being a wristband.

However, the patent is more focused on specifically the wristband and the headband.
The patent also includes additional uses for the smart band (viaTechRadar).
The latter points towards its ability to connect to other Apple devices (MacBook, iPhone, AirPods).
This isnt Apples first time filing patents for smart fabric.
If Apples plans come to fruition, time will tell how successful they are.
Looking at how massively theApple Vision Pro failed, its apparent why Apple is trying to revive it.
I wonder how the new health features will affect its price, considering its already exorbitantly priced.
