Adaptationscan be tricky, particularly when the source material is animated.
Last weekend, I watchedThe Last Airbender, M. Night Shyamalans 2010 adaptation of Nickelodeons Avatar series.
And beyond catching the last 15 minutes on TV forever ago, I hadnt ever seen the full thing.

The Last Airbender movie was very clearly aimed at fans of the show, which had wrapped in 2008.
(But even that doesnt hit the same as thegiant water kaijuin the finale of the show.)
Overall, its just dull and annoyingbut not enough to hold a 14-year grudge.
