Update: Thursday, March 6, 12:55 p.m. Intuitive Machines is targeting a landing opportunity on Thursday at 12:32 p.m. Athena was built by Intuitive Machines for NASAsCommercial Lunar Payload Services(CLPS) program.
The landing attempt will be streamed live on Intuitive Machines IM-2mission pageand onNASA+.

The live stream is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. Athenalaunched February 26on board a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
Houston-based Intuitive Machines has been here before.
Thecompany launched its first lunar lander, named Odysseus, in February 2024.
The two landers derive their names from Greek mythology, Athena being Odysseus divine patron.
Odysseus managed to reach the lunar surface, but its landing wasnt so smooth.
Another Texas startup, Firefly Aerospace, landed on the Moon this past weekend on its first attempt.
Resilience carried out a flyby of the Moon on February 15 and is expected to touch down in April.
