The camera looks like its flying with him and, well, it looks a little weird.

But, it turns out, CGI had nothing to do with that specific look.
Peoples faces can look different when you put a wide angle lens up close.
The background plate in Svalbard is 100% real as is David.
The key phrase there is in his face.
But were talking specifically about the face here and Gunn says thats real.
Something thats pretty clearly seen here.
And, if you rewatchfootage from that movie, there is a similar effect.
Their faces are shoved back awkwardly by gravity.
Maybe his eyes might even go a little wonky.
In fact, if anything, CGI could be used to fix that look.
