To many medical groups, the school dairy requirement has become a clear anachronism.
The USDA has made [cows milk] virtually untouchable, Press said.
The school district did say its food services program follows USDA guidelines.
Even so, more and more young people are calling out the USDA policy.
The youth-led organization supports anti-dairy student activism through itsMind Over Milkcampaign.
To them, milks protected status endorses animal cruelty and fuels the climate crisis.
They should be able to choose the more sustainable option.
