Interestingly, Zuckerbergs techno-libertarian version of free speech looks a whole lot like suppressing marginalized people in practice.
The company alsopulled transgender and nonbinary theme optionsfrom its Messenger chat app.
And then theres the decision to end DEI programs.
But more than that, it appears the decision is an extension of Zuckerbergs worldview.
Of course, the reality is thatmeritocracy is a myth.
This is a decided departure from how the company presented itself in the last few years.
After all, the company justsuccessfully defended one of its DEI effortsin court this past summer.
(The company has since issued areturn to office orderthatdisproportionately affected those same workers.)
