Before and during these clashes, rivalries and connections have formed on both sides.
Chief among them is gravity manipulation hero Ochaco Uraraka and shapeshifting blood user Himiko Toga.
How did you expect them to evolve over time?

Leah Clark:I didnt get to audition for Toga specifically.
We were all auditioning at the same time back in season one when only the heroes ofMHAwere being shown.
And she directed me to play Toga as equal parts adorable and terrifying.

For me, she was initially this creepy, scary girl, or an unhinged cheerleader.
They dont have hard rules and theyre just kind of vibing.
But someone like Twice will still support Toga and what she does, which is comforting for her.

So when wedidactually learn her past…
Christian:It waspainful.
I remember a line you gave in a flashback where young Toga tells her parents, I dont understand.
Does everyone have to lie?

It was so sad and true for so many people trying to figure things out when youre young.
How do you hide who you are for the sake of survival?
Clark:[laughs] I guess I grew a heart of gold at the last minute!
Ochaco says yes, and you see that hit Toga on a much more personal level.
How do you approach those moments, Luci, where shes got to really put herself out there?
She wears her feelings on her sleeve, and shes also a truth-teller.
io9: WithMy Hero Academiasanimeending next year, how have you begun to look back on the series?
Ive never been in a show with so many seasons where Im a prominent character.
io9: What would you say makes it different from something likeOne Piece, where you play Nami?
Christian:Theres definitely similarities, especially sinceOne Piecehas had a moment the past few years.
You could call it delayed, then, but withMy Hero,it got big so, so fast.
There were cosplays of heroes everywhere and at other cons wed go to, thered be this massiveMy Heromeetups.
Its a great show, and I think well all mourn it being over when the end gets here.
My Hero Academiais available to watch onCrunchyroll.
