One of the biggest waysWhois swinging for the fences this season is with its new companion.Andorstar Varada SethusBelinda Chandra.
I come out of [the season] thinking Id be Belinda.
We all want to imagine wed be Ruby, or Rose Tyler.
Belinda is the one saying Hes a madman, get me out of here, take me home.'
It just shows the program in a different light, Davies continued.
Those changes arent just taking place in front of the camera this season, butbehind the camera too.
What a scholar, what a radical, what a charming man.
I was theDoctor Whoman then!
And Peter Tighe, hes a very seasonedDoctor Whowriter who knowsWhoevery bit as well as me.
He can identify a Drahvin at 50 paces.
It just keeps the show spinning, keeps it lively.
It keepsmelively, Davies continued.
I mean, Im a writer and theres no one Id rather sit and talk to than writers.
Writers dont often actually get to sit and talk with other writers often enough.
We tend to live in our own circles.
Its a very healthy process, and I think its paid us a great range of stories.
Im a very lucky man, Im like the Pied Piper.
Theyll stop me in the street and say how much they love it.
So long may that continue!
