But what happens next, well, not even Edward couldve predicted.
And at this point, you are probably thinking Oh, I know exactly where this goes.
Once helooks like Sebastian Staneverything gets easier for him and the movie is about the hypocrisy in that.
Ingrid quickly befriends Edward and though hes clearly in love with her, she wants to keep things platonic.
Okay, so once Edwards disfigurement goes away, he lies about everything.
And thats when Oswald comes in.
He doesnt let anything get in his way.

Up until that point, which is probably over half the movie,A Different Manis good.

A Different Manis sad, funny, awkward, dark, and fascinating.
Its a wild trajectory for a very original movie that you wont soon forget.
