iOS 18.2 also introduces Genmoji, which lets users create custom emojis just by writing a description.
Early beta users have described them ascartoonish and shallow.
Users can also now edit their photos to remove objects.
Other AI-powered features are expected to come over time.
Apple says that OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, will not store user requests.

The aim is to convince the more than one billion iPhone users that they need these new features.
Many normies still do not use AI tools much in their daily lives, and this could change that.

At the very least, putting ChatGPT aside, the rest of Apples AI integrations have clear practical use.
