Twitchlaid off 35% of its staff, just over 500 employees, the company said in ablog postWednesday.
This is the second round of layoffs for Twitch in less than one year, as first reported byBloombergMonday.
The parent company, Amazon, alsolaid off hundreds of employeesworking in Prime Video and MGM Studios on Wednesday.

Shortly after taking over as Twitchs CEO in March 2023, Dan Clancy eliminated400 positions.
Twitch has laid off more than 900 employees since Clancy took over less than a year ago.
His workforce is now roughly half the size that it was a year ago, according toPC Gamer.
Twitch doesnt seem to be doing enough to attract creators.
The Washington Post reported in 2021 that many of Twitchs most popular streamers makeless than minimum wage.
It doesnt seem like theres much plan to change that.
